Hsiao Chin (1935) is a master of abstract painting. His art combines elements of Oriental culture and spirituality with a deep knowledge of Western art.

His works has been shown in variuos institutions and museums, among the others the National Art Museum of China in Beijing, Zhongshan Museum of Art, Guangdong Museum of Art, Shanghai Art Museum, Liege Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Belgium. 

On October 2015 the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, in Taichung, Taiwan, inaugurated his retrospective solo exhibition.
